Foundation Worldview Curriculum

Project Overview

Foundation provides online curriculums from teachers to home-schooling parents. The subscription based solution allows users to find the right price for their needs and comes with access to an easy to follow web app with all their learning material. The entire Foundation Curriculum is online, making it simple to access with any device from any location. My task was to come up with a fresh new responsive website and web application.

Background

The founder of Foundation had a developed product and clear mission: Build a Biblical Worldview in the Formative Years. The existing website and web app were lacking in helping to accomplish that mission. It was difficult to find the right pricing depending on what you were looking for.

It didn't take long to understand what needed to be done to ensure the website matched the mission. Through intuition we knew focusing on four main user groups would capture all of the customers interested in using the Foundation curriculum. This helped establish the UX of key user flows and reusable components that would save time during development. The four user groups are Private Schools, Churches, Families, and homeschool Co-ops.

Visual Style

With the old site feeling a bit dated I wanted to come up with a more approachable and energetic feeling. By introducing simple shapes that could be applied in a variety of bright colors, angles, and sizes I was able to set the tone of the site to feel more fun and youthful. These shapes paired with thoughtful badges and custom icons gave the site a great foundation to be built upon.

Buying the curriculum

Flexible pricing allows each user group to easily purchase the number of seats that fits their needs for their desired curriculum. The pricing table provides a transparent price with no hidden fees once the user is committed to purchasing any curriculum. Once the user has selected the number of seats they are directed to check out and purchase the curriculum.

Conclusion

Our core user groups could now easily find the perfect curriculum and create the perfect pricing plan for their needs. After account registration and check-out, the online curriculum is available for them at any time on any device. I also took the lead on the UI/UX for that project but don't want to show valuable information the client has worked so hard to build and maintain.
